    Assignment overview

    1.           What happens after high school? Listen to the article “your plans” after high school on the website. at: http://kidshealth.org/teen/school_jobs/jobs/after_hs.html. Assignment: Submit essay for extra credit on: "your plans for life after high school." Reference tips from the article in your essay. 5 paragraphs – using complete sentences.  
    2.        Writing Prompt: Pick 3 careers (occupations) from the Bureau of Labor  Statistics website http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes_alph.htm#B  and after looking at the national estimates for your (3) chosen occupations,   write a persuasive essay comparing the occupations, and provide your
    analysis of why this is the best occupation for you, providing details from your research on the website. 
      
    3.           Use the Apartment checklist on the website to answer the questions in the scenario. Scenario: You are given 500.00 dollars as a gift towards your first apartment. How will you furnish your 1st apartment using only the items in the checklist provided? Research the internet and provide evidence of the cost of your items. Justify why your choices of the items and provide comparisons in prices from your research. Submit your assignment in the following formats for credit 1. Microsoft Excel or other data tracker to show budget 2. Present information in a video podcast to your teacher.
     
    4.        Create a chant for any lesson to present to your teacher. Watch the videos to see other students and ideas. Your chant should be used as a study tool for other students in your class. Present the information in an audio recording, podcast, or other video presentation to your teacher.
